Master Advocacy

Advance your career.

Stetson’s advocacy program has been ranked #1 by U.S. News and World Report 24 times – more than any other law school.

Advocacy is a core mission at Stetson. Leverage our expertise. Refocus your career. Develop skills to become a stronger advocate in the areas of pretrial practice and courtroom persuasion.

Master the skill sets that elevate your practice to excellence.

Stetson has experienced advocates on its faculty, a Center for the Excellence in Advocacy, and an online Advocacy Resource Center.  Courses include but are not limited to Advanced Evidence, Mastering Voir Dire, Expert Witnesses, and Technology Enhanced Advocacy.

Stetson's LL.M. in Advocacy fosters participants' development into full-spectrum legal advocates by challenging common assumptions about advocacy, encouraging personal growth, and teaching how to couple advocacy skills with sound legal analysis and strategic planning.

We train not only advocates, but future teachers of advocacy.

The Program offers a Teaching Advocacy course, and also provides students with opportunities for writing advocacy-related publishable works, creating innovative advocacy training courses, and coming to Stetson's beautiful Gulfport campus for the annual Educating Advocacy Teacher's (EATS) Conference and their final Capstone Practicum.
